82 honda v45 sabre

    I have an 82 honda v45 sabre, the front end kicks from left to right at approximatley 38 miles per hour. I have had the front rim checked, it's not bent, front wheel bearings checked, head bearings checked, replaced the front tire, front brakes changed and it is still kicking from left to right. has anyone ever heard of this???? Basically a death wobble at 38 mph.

    i would find another source to check the items you have mentioned........it sounds like loose head bearings.............:)

    doesn't have like a 60 deg rake with 14 over forks does it:roflmao: if all those things are good maybe the forks are bent. didn't say if it was a spoke or mag.

    If not the neck bearings, perhaps cracks in the triple tree(s)? Hit anything hard lately - potholes, RR tracks, etc. that may have damaged the trees or the fork tubes where you don't see it?

    I once owned a Saber and it was extremely stable. Rode the bike cross country a couple of times without any problems other than side winds usually put it into the adjoining lane. check your wheel bearings and make sure the steering head bearings aren't out to lunch. Also, make sure the rear tire/wheel is properly aligned to the rest of the bike.
