Thanks HRK, that was great. Ted Gundy may be the only WWll sniper left. He's a true national treasure, as are all the vets from that era.

True that...I heard somewhere we were loosing WWII vets at the rate of 1,000 a day. My dad was one of them.....WWII Subvet. He put his oars to rest in April 2007

Great video HRK, I love to listen to those great WWII vets, just wished my grandpa would have been around longer to get to talk to him. Only get to see all the pictures he took of all the bombers he worked on.

That was really cool, thanks HRK. My step father was a fighter pilot over France and Germany and before he got Alzheimer's Disease and then passed away he had some really great stories during WWII. The last fighter he flew was the P51 Mustang. Sure miss him and so does mom.

Comments by FLHT and the video made me think about my brother in laws Dad. He was a quite unassuming man. I knew he went to art school on the GI Bill and eventually was a partner in an advertising agency and did very well for himself coming from very little. Did not know until his death he was a WWII sniper. Knew he did a lot very quietly for others once he had some money. Did not know, he struggled most of his life with what his duty called him to do during the war. At his funeral his minister said he came to terms finally at 9/11. Said he realized sometimes there is evil in the world so great, there is only one way to handle it. Cool perspective...

I've watched that Impossible Shots episode a couple times on TV. Great show, great man, and very emotional. Gotta love him.

Just think of his ability if he were in his prime with that gun.
