I have just installed the Harley crusie control kit for my 96 FLHR. I have done all the test in the service manuel except the last one (I don't have an analyzer). It still will not work. Do I need to have a Tach. Does anyone have any ideas.

 I had install a cruise control on my 2001 Rk perform the same test found out I was missing the tach wire connection. Yes ,the tach wire must be connected so the control module can
have a input to turn on.
