A clack noise after new stator put in

    I have a 99 fatboy and after installing a new stator there is a clack noise? should I readjust my timing or my compensater???

    check that you got the comp nut set properly and tight, that everything
    is installed correctly, it takes a lot of TQ and some red locktite,
    also check the primary chain tensioner.

    My bet is the compensator, too. Make sure you torque it to specs. It will run loose, but it ain't good.
