    Thanks for the update.

It got me looking at Google maps and Google has some more pics of the city and the surrounding mountains.

I hope those people like it there cause I wouldn't.

Do you ever wish you had your Ultra there to rip around the city. :D

SO, sad but funny.... glad I don't need the pepto right now! Walked into the room, roommate told me "have to use the ****ter upstairs.....this one is out of commission.... wondered down that direction to take a shower.... evidently, something clogged up the entire BOTH male bathrooms..... not a clue...but the contractors (any plumbers out there??!!)....wait for it...... were using a FIRE HOSE to try opening things up....there was $HIT EVERYWHERE...and talk about smell.....WOW!!! I would not want to walk into either bathroom until they are done cleaning..... there was crap on the floor, walls etc. Looked to me like when they hit it with the firehose, it blew everything everywhere....not a CLUE if they succeeded in clearing any pipes..... Hope they have it taken care of before I have business to take care of!!!

No pics taken of this event...stench was too great.

Cool pics, who put up all the street lights and I got a mask I could send you for the bathroom time. To funny, so who was it trying to use a fire hose to clean out a drain line. :roflmao: Stay safe and never let your guard down.

Was kinda funny to think about...I am just glad that I was NOT involved!

Yes, thanks for the pics. It's interesting to see how other cultures live in modern times, and your quarters look downright luxurious. But that reminds me of when I was in the Marine Corps in Viet Nam ('70-72). The towns were just a bunch of shacks attached to each other, and the plumbing was a ditch running down the middle of street.

My quarters were a dug-out cave with a cot (no bed) when I was "on base", or the base of a tree when crawling thru the jungle at night. Supply Sgt. gave you a pack of condoms every week to keep water out of the muzzle of your M16, and cigarettes to burn off the leeches. We never had enough to eat, but always had more than enough ammo and explosives. Medics and chopper pilots were our heroes (some things never change).

I can't complain about my quarters....tight, cramped, but indoors, running water down the hall.....heat/AC. I can't bitch. I have lived in worse....during most of Desert Storm...lived out of an ambulance..... just had to find a place to put the sleeping bag! My dorm room (was a single room) in college was about the same size as this room.....but only me in that room...and no wall lockers, had a closet! I got lucky.....1/2 of the people here live in tents for permanent, tho I was fully prepared to live in those....!
