Accel Miss Sportster 1200 Custom '02

    In the 2500-3000 RPM range 3rd to 5th gear.
    If I WOT it stumbles, back fires and smooths out.
    If I smoothly increase throttle it accell's fine. No miss. Drained tank, cleaned strianer, checked vacumm valve. Holds vacumm. Carb cleaned, intake boot replaced. Switched from 87 to 93 octane gas.
    Seem to help. Any ideas?
