Added a new member to the family

Over Christmas picked up a used P226 Sig Sauer 40
SS slide smooth frame it was pretty grungy inside so
soaked all the parts, cleaned and put it back together

It needs to have the frame refinished as there are a
few spots, so its a good excuse to have the whole
thing done up in a nice new color LOL

Then it's getting a competition spring package
from grayguns.com Maybe even sent it off for
some work to reduce trigger pull, it's going to be
for target and range duty.

Very nice, why a used one. I'm still looking, maybe a 40 or a 45. Still like the XD 45 line. Went and looked at a few today. Looked at a few Rugsrs but they just didn't feel good. I do like the Ruger 1911

I also like this one Ruger sr1911. I wouldn't mind going back to doing some compition shooting like I used to do.

Not around here, seems there almost as much.

Well it happened again, when I was getting
the 226 there were two 239's sitting there
and I've been wanting to dump my p250 DA
for a P239 for a while, went back on a ride
yesterday and the 40 was gone.

So I made a deal and traded the P250 and $50 and got the
P239, the controls had been replaced with polished units
and the gun looked and feels great, single stack 9mm
A plus was they didnt mark the tag right and it came
with a spare extended 10 round mag sweet!

While they were writing up the papers for the transfer
of both guns I browsed the sale boxes on holsters lo and behold
found a new P239 IWB/OWB Desantis leather snap, perfect fit
for the bike and daily carry

Might have to look for some, it's going to be my daily carry

My Berretta 92G is to big to carry. It's a government issue and the safety that is on the standard 92 and 92F models is not there. Government models for police and military were ready to fire all the time. It's also made In the USA. Its in very good condition and wonder what it's worth.

They sell here for between $450 and $550 in good condition.

Gunbroker.com is a good place to get a reference,
gunstore will give you half that on trade in.

Find a web board for Berettas and sell it there
if you want.

Ordered some Houge Extreme Aluminum grips in clear coat
should be in next week

Well HRK I did it, picked up a Springfield XD in 40 cal. Couldn't pass it up. Lowest price in town plus 10% off of that. 20% off on ammo so picked up a couple of boxes. Will go down to the range tomorrow and shoot it.

Went to the firing range today run by the Clackamas County sheriff dept.
First time firing it at 15 yards. Gun shoots better than I can hold it. Channel 12 news was filming us while shooting. The one high and to the right out of the black happened just as I was squeezing the trigger and another shooter fired his 45 made me jerk . Got a bit of flash glare on the second photo
