Hi, I just have a quick question i'm hoping someone here may be able to answer for me,

I own a honda CB250 2006 model which has recently been vandalised.

I have absolutely no idea about the mechanics of a bike and basically just wanted to know if my bike is repairable/worth fixing.

Someone has taken a hammer to the engine smashing off the corner of what I think are called the cooling fins of the engine and stuffed dirt into the engine... there's also minor damage such as broken lights etc but i'm not really worried about that, I just wanted to know if my bike is written off or if it's fixable.

I may be able to take pics of it if required.

    Thanks for your time.

Sounds like ya may want to investigate local junkyard options to see if there are any CB250 wrecks available to scavenge. It is a common enough bike that gets wrecked, and the engines are usually OK even on totaled bikes. Of course, if you can't keep it secure from whatever psycho-nutcase that went to all that trouble to trash it in the first place it may be a futile exercise. Good luck - sounds like you'll need it!

I wouldn't put to much money into it if they put dirt in your motor and your not mechanically inclined it could get expensive. There must be 1000's of little 250's kickin around down under cheap enough, and don't worry about the Harley it will come in time!

The cost to get it up and running would outweight the cost of getting another bike - and your insureance will probably cover it.
Look for something a with a little less cost and use the balance left over to buy a shotgun; or a mean ass dog that hates vandals.
