After market tach/rpm only half way

    my after market tach only reads half way(bike does not come with tach/rpm gauge)

    im a beginner on motorcycles please help me out

    tach has 5 cords 2 of them are on lights 1 on ground 1 on ignition coil and 1 coil is black so i connected that with other black wires...

    try the black coil 1 to the other side of the coil, instead to ground.......

    What is the name of your aftermarket tach??Is it for motorcycles or cars??What colors are the 5 wires??How many cylinders on your bike....a little more info and we may be able to help you out....
