Does anyone have or know if there is needle that richens the mid range. What I've been getting is popping and loss of power between the mid range and wot. wot throttle is mostly the main jet (so I've been told) and mid range is the jet needle.

I have both the n65 and the velocity needle but from what I've read both are the same in the mid range so that doesnt' help me at all. so I need to richen the midrange. needles or suggestions?

Also I've heard of people drilling the side hole on the slide to something bigger when the a swapped the exhaust. What size?

:roflmao::roflmao: I would try using shims. If that doesn't work, I ended up going to an adjustable needle by cycle pro and I am very happy with it.. Hope this helps. I am sure OBI Wan will pop in to tell me I'm wrong anyways but I thought I would give it shot...... :roflmao: OBI WAN :roflmao:

Forget to mention, don't drill the slide, it will cause the slide to flutter eratically and give you all sorts of issues....

    Re: Needles

Cycle Pro is a wholesale distributor, mostly gaskets. I sell some of their gaskets but if they have needles they may be something they are importing for someone else because they don't make those parts AFAIK. You can't buy from them direct as they are only a wholesale supplier.

If you are still that lean with both a velocity needle and a N65 I suspect you may have a vacuum leak. As mentioned you could try to shim the needle to lift it higher but you may throw off the mixture just off idle or in the transition to WOT, both ends of the needle's usable range.

The kit that i used was around thirty bucks. I remember throwing a fit that my indy wanted to use it. When you use this kit you will have to switch emulsion tubes and can only use specific jets. Like i said I am pretty sure we got it from Cycle Pro:D

I am sure that you and I looked at the same web site. It wasn't there, however, I was correct on who I got it from in the sense of what the lable said. We got this through Drag Specialties. Here is the link... Search | Drag Specialties® This works well, I would recommend this to anyone...
