I love my bike, it is the same as yours. I put a Arlen Ness Big Sucker. Looks real nice bolted to the engine. 88 bucks at this store. #DSDS288880 The Power commander #DS10200003 is awesome with and 2 into 1 pipe from Kerker. Bike Rolls.

I love it. I will try to post a pic!

I see a lot of big suckers on the road and they are recommended a lot. I'm a little old fashioned and stuck with the stock breather on my carb fxst. I replaced the stock filter with a K&N that is supposed to flow a good bit better. After a thunderslide kit and aftermarket pipes I can feel a good boost in torque.

No....not at all. I've had a couple of different HD dealerships tell me that it will NOT void the warranty. That's unusual coming from a dealership, but the fact is that you have to do something with the fuel map if you change pipes and air filter from the stock setup. Harley even offers a similar product with the Race Tuner.

What RCR says is completely logical. If you change filters and pipes you will change flow characteristics of the engine to a lean condition in most cases. Left in this condition, damage to the engine can result. With EFI it is important that you make this change to get the benefit of you filter/pipe combo and prevent damage to the engine. Even though this is completely logical, unfortunately some dealers will try to point fingers and place blame on your modification if something fails down the road. Check with your dealer first to see what their attitude is. If they insist on doing the work themselves to stand behind the warranty; you might consider it... or talk to another dealer. Not all dealers are bad but a some of them are horses backsides.

The consumer protection act protects you from these false statements.
Do you think H-D would actually authorize a dealer to act on it's behalf? They can and may well refuse to service your bike but that is all they can do. Last I knew, it took a district rep. to do the MoFoCo's dirty work.

As a consumer, arm yourself with the facts and when a dealer spews this garbage give them a copy and walk off. The link above is just one of many you can find by doing a simple search.

Excellent suggestion CD! It's not unusual for John Q. Public to be unfamiliar with the US Code Annotated but those in the business should know better... or at least not bluff the customer if they do know better.

I think HD would like to know about dealerships that mislead customers or mis-represent the terms of the warranty. I'm sure authorized dealers can turn into former authorized dealers.
