[IMG]1st time to ever see one.
Did a Job for a Customer today he had a 115 lb akita dog.
He said you can't have it around other dogs unless you are there. They will kill them.
Said they use 4 Akita dogs to hunt black bears.
These are very strong and agressive dogs. Need to be kept in a good fence.
    Super guard dog.
Not good for Apartment or condo. Too many people and other animals.
Must train when they are young to be able to handle them.

Yep, a contractor supervisor from Croatia in my old company had one. The A-hole used to bring to our plant. It went after almost all of my men. The boss finally got the balls up to ask him to leave the dam thing home. Eventually it almost killed the guys son. He killed it with a baseball bat. Bad breed to have around any people.

The dude that has it , its his son. It stays around him, his wife and a couple other couples all the time. His grand daughter is around it all the time.
It is a Big dog. Very strong. Very broad. Super fast.
It stays in a fence with them. They said you will not come in the fence they have locked and take anything and make it out.

When we got there. 1st thing he said when we come threw the fence.
Do not git out of the truck till I introduce you to my dog.
Man what a dog. ONce he introduced him to us, he had no problem with us.
Come to me and let me pet him many times.

The old man said Don't let him fool you. If I tell him to git you. its over.
He got into it with a Big Pit Bull dog that attacked his dog and he destroyed the pit.
He looks like if you put yer bike in a strong fence. Nobody is gonna bother yer bike or you.
His Wife loves the dog. Said her son got it as a young dog. Spend the money to have it trained.
The best dog she has ever had and she was like 66 yrs old.

Now that is wierd...The guy up the street has an Akita and a Belgian Keishound...Great dogs...They get along great with each other and the neighborhood kids as well...They said the same about Pitbulls but I have met many nice Pitbulls...I honestly believe a lot has to do with the environment that their raised in...

I'll stick with my red heeler "Radar" & blue heeler/border collie "Willow" thank you. Other breeds to be wary of are Dobermans, Chows and Chihuahas!

It's not so much the breed of dog...it's how they're raised...they also take after their owners....if the owner is aggressive and unstable...so is the dog....if the owner is easy going and laid back,so is the dog...but sometimes they are just plain bad dogs...most of the time it's the owners fault how the dog turns out no matter what breed...I carried the mail for 24yrs,had more dog fights than I can remember,I never blamed the dog or what breed it was...but I wanted to strangle some owners...The little dogs were the worst:gah:

The only dog in all those years that did get a piece of me was a chihuahua :roflmao:
