I have a 2008 E-glide Ultra. I picked it up last year. What I am noticing on sunny days, around the outside of the windshield is a prizm like effect at all four corners. Is this normal ? I keep it in a garage, and keep an old sheet over the windshield. Do i need to treat it, or is it too late?

Could it be from your polarized sun glasses? They do weird things to car windows when you are looking through them.

I don't think it is a bad thing ... just what happens when you bend plastic.

    Just a thought...

We got fish flys (June bugs) out right now here in Ontario, 1000's of them at every light pole and all over the road. They make a mess of your bike and the road is a sheet of ice!

down here there called may flies......come out in may. great fish bait!!!!! our worst bug is the love bugs.....no natural enemy. and can completely cover a windshield to where you cant see out of it in less than a mile, and eats paint and chrome, and does not wash off very well........

Holy crap LOVE Bugs, they called that cause they love to splat on the windshield or they just have sex and multiply in large quantities. :D

I'd say the rain we get here in the Northwest is gotta be kind of mild to the weather and bugs you guys down south get. Like others I'd clean the shield real well or check the glasses. Got a pair of dark fit overs that make the shield and other things have a rainbow look sometimes.

they are called love bugs because they fly mated together. the female is the bigger of the two and when they finish the male dies off. when they hit something they leave a fluid that is very caustic. they will get so think that you cant see through them!!!

Hope they stay in your neck of the woods. :)

We don't get masses of bugs like that, just bees and butterflies that make a real big colorful splat when they hit.

    Get a smoked windshield
or if the sun is in the east, ride west and visa versa

If you have polarized glasses you'll get an odd color from time to time due to the light, position and curvature of the shield...

    It got it!

It was my prescription specs. Went on a trip to the ocean. Shield kept the bugs off, an had a great time. I will have to get used to it.
