Wanting to try Amsoil SVO75w-140 gear lube in my 2007 Harley Ultra 103 six speed trans I know the issue's with gear noise and understand what is going on. Has anybody tried 75W-140 Amsoil? I'm woundering if it might reduce gear noise?

I run the Red Line gear oil with Shock Proof in the tranny and that pink stuff seems to work pretty good. It does run quieter.

Try it you have nothing to loose.According to Ams Oil Chart this type of oil reduces the gear noise.

gear swish however it does seem to be a little stiffer while shifting

I use amsoil severe gear 75/90 works great year round. 50,000 trouble free plus miles on this bike alone, have used it for about 10 years now in evo's and twin cam bikes.

I have used the Bel Ray Gear Saver products for years with no issues.
