    well,
being the redneck that i am,my house is beginning to look like a used car lot!!
i have a freind going through a nasty devorce, his wife has taken everything, house, pets cars, 4wheelers.......ya he is gettin the shaft...
anyway i get this call from him, asking me how much money i had in the bank?? giggling i tell him only a few hundred or so maybe 400.....he says to me bring me 300 dollars and i will sell ya my boat,as he put it,the bitc% done took everything else ,i'll be dammed if she gets the boat, before i can hang up the phone, he pulling in my driveway, with the boat behind his truck.
parks it next to my other 3 trailers, gets out and hands me the title.
this boat is really sweet, 1996,19 foot sunbird, cosair 197.
5.7 liter motor, with a omc cobra drive system, the only thing wrong is the interior has faded in places and could use a new upolstry, wich my wife can do, the outside just needs a really good wax job to bring it back to life.
so i am eating pbj's this week, cause i was glad to give him what i had.....lol
gonna drop it in the water sunday, if i can talk my son into filling it up with gas.....
will take some pics as soon as i can.......

Good for you, TRG. I hate to hear of your friends troubles but it sounds like he was going to lose it anyway. It's the kind of deal we all are looking for but rarely happens. Have fun!!

Man divorces can be hell. My Ex took me to, years ago during my divorce. Lost everything, and then she wanted half the value of all my dads guns that were handed down to me. Gave her a $50.00 bill and a recite from my brother for the guns. Got them back later but tell me why is it the women get to clean out the guys. I was in such bad shape I couldn't even get a loan on a used car and her she was driven a brand new Toyota. Something ain't right about the whole divorce thing.:bicker:

    New Toy

    Congrats on the new acquisitions...

I'm almost 3 years out from my own divorce final date. It's taken awhile but I almost have all of the residual crap from that cleaned up. I was also blessed with the full custody of my 14 year old daughter. (Who has already laid a claim on my Sporty when she turns 16....:roflmao: It's her contention that I should upgrade to a big twin and pass the Sporty to her) Who knows?

Anyway, just wanted to say that while divorce sucks like gravity...you do get through it.

Well you know what they say.............It's cheaper to keep her.

I don't quite understand the divorce settlement laws either. I'm not divorced but I have a few friends and coworkers that are. It seams that the men always get the shaft unless there is some reason the women is declared an unfit mother or something. Out of roughly six people that I know, one got full custody of their daughter and pays nothing to the mother. Although she didn't have to pay him anything either. Go figure.

funny all this talk about devorce, and i am celebrating my 14 annivercery on sunday, this is my second marraige. my first marraige was a total disaster, wich i got sole custody of my 2 boys, but mom got off free of course.looking back it was a small price to pay for my sanity......
i am lucky to have the wife that i have now,its been a good 14 years and the ride has not been boring.......i married her on mothers day so i would never forget, thinking to myself, self that was pretty smart even for a redneck, seein how i cant even remember were i set the car keys:roflmao:

That really pisses me off, you should be able to go to the courts and demand back support from her. guarantee she would have done it to you. :fight:

Your not alone on where did I leave the keys. My current wife who by the way is really great bought me a key hanger, now I just got to remember to put the keys on it.

    TRG,

We just had our 19th anniversary Monday. I have to pay very close attention to remember. I almost forgot once but I remembered a the last minute. My wife on the other hand..................One year she got all mad because I forgot. She was giving me additude for a couple of days before I got her to tell me what was wrong. When she told me I started laughing, which made her even more mad. Then I was like "HONEY, this is APRIL 7th. Our anniversary is MAY 7th!" DOH!

By the way, I hang my keys on the hook next to the door. Now if I could only remember to grab them on the way out before the door locks, I'd be all set.

Well we all known the importance of remembering keys dates when it comes to the women in ours lives. On the other hand, their thought process is slightly different than ours.

Women can remember what color socks you were wearing on your first date, but ask them how long the oil light has been on in their car, and they don't have a clue!!

Gotta love em. What would we do without them?

Congrats on the new toy. SOunds like a killer deal. I sold my jet boat to keep my ex from getting it.

I've lost everything I've had to women twice. The last one took everything but the kids. It was a fair trade. She owes me some $40,000.00 (climbing monthly) I'll never see but again as long as she stays gone "FAIR TRADE"

Mine tried to set me up on a domestic violence rap to cause me to loose all my guns. It didn't work. She's lucky I didn't kill her over that one.
