    Hey Everyone,

I'm new to Bike Talk but have already found it to be a pretty cool and interesting bike forum!

My ride is a Honda CBR 600RR. I'm getting her ready for the Spring thaw that can't get here soon enough!! Want to spruce her up a bit and find some cool or unique gadgets or anything that will even make the ride that much more enjoyable or hassle-free.

Looking for any suggestions out there. All are welcome and curious to see what I may have missed. The only "different" thing I found so far and waiting to get in the mail is a "moto-hanger". I received the February 2011 issue of Motorcycle Consumer News and it was picked as their "innovation of the month."
It's a simple little helmet hanger to use I guess when you pit stop to eat somewhere and it hangs right off the table! Looks cool so looking forward to trying it out when it arrives. Btw, I ordered it from motorcycle-gadgets.com if anyone is interested in seeing what I'm talking about. Anyone else have or tried these?

Thanks a bunch and looking forward to some replies!

    -Nikki

Definately spam! Hey Nikki where did you get that awesome new gadget? Gee can you get one for me? Looks like the same thing they sell for women to hang their purses on rather than putting them on dirty restaurant floors. I'll just eat in clean restaurants and leave the hat on the bike.

There is no place for me to hang my brain bucket from on my bike. I probably wouldn't anyway, don't want to screw the paint up.

Unreal.......get a quick disconnect for the strap, snap it together and hang it from the bars..if you have to move the bars to full left or right position then hang it from the bars so it don't hit the tank. How long you been riding? :)

You can also hang it from a foot pet if you need to.

Wow, did not mean to ruffle any feathers!! Was really asking a simple question and was excited to share what I thought is a cool gadget. Sorry if it came across as anything else.

I personally prefer to bring in my helmet when I go out to eat or even to use public restrooms and thought this would come in handy.......

It's all good nikkik but these guys like to keep a close eye on their site! We all appreciate it, keeps this site fast and up and runnin all the time!
Most (not all) on here are harley riders and besides JB just through the brain bucket where ever, you ridin a cbr probably have an expensive helmet! I got mine at a swap meet for $20 and if someone is stupid enough to try and steal it, it's a good excuse to ride home without one
You will get along good with Cardboard (grumbybear) he is one of the biggest new product spammers here and we think he gets a cut from ThunderMax !

& JB take it off yer head - look down and bam there's your seat aka bucket holder.

Thanks BluePearl! I have an Arai full face helmet and the last thing I would want is for it to get swiped off my bike! It may be extreme to take everywhere I go but can't afford dropping more $$'s for a new one.

The Goldwingers have a cool device that fits in place of the pin that holds your grips in place. It has a raised section with a hole in it and comes with a small padlock. You can then lock the helmet to the bike through the D ring. They would have to cut the strap to get it off.
They looked like these but have a hole drilled in them with a small pad lock.

Thanks Chucktx, no hard feelings and completely understand.

FLHTbiker thanks for the post. You know I'll have to look at my bike and see if something like that would work. Not sure if the grips are held in place the same way they are on the Goldwings :confused:

Sorry sorry sorry. Maybe this would be useful for someone.

My brother and I had our helmets stolen once from in front of a friends bar. Caught up to them at a resort about 2 miles down the lake. :fight: When the Sheriff got there to see what the all dust was about he took their bloody asses to the county lock up. If I could afford an Arai I might just hire someone to watch my bike for me. Or carry my helmet... Hey Nikki you rich? Into old fat guys?:D:D

Ever seen twowheelfemale.com ? Might be some interest there... Doesn't a CBR have a helmet lock on the subframe or under the seat? Anyway, sorry again for jumping to conclusions.:)
