look cool check the vac connection to the back it's what makes the flapper doors work, according to the designer Mike Roland at Kuryakyn they do make power
over stock, I got one of the Pro units because it was larger, sold it, but should have kept it, I like the look....

Someone will chime in that it's hype, that's normal, but the fact is they allow more air than a stock air filter, it's all about the look because you can put a K&N filter without the stock backing plate on and get more air, nice thing about the hypercharger is that it pulls air in from the front and it's generally out in the wind that is cooler than the air coming off the fins

    cold air - more power...

I agree, they can make slightly more power over stock. The biggest thing to watch out for is that vacuum line and the actuator leaking. Any leakage causes a bad vacuum leak and many end up thinking they have jetting issues. The last one I had I plugged off the vacuum and permanently pinned the flaps open. I'm not convinced the flaps add anything to the design or performance but the shape of the shell does direct air directly at the air cleaner.

If buying the bike with this I would not base my decision or pay any extra money for the bike based on the accessory item. I know lots of people try to bump up the sale price of a used Harley using the retail cost of the accessories, but most of us end up changing parts after and that cost ends up being a loss to the buyer.

I don't know how good/bad they work, but I find visually they don't flow well with the lines of the engine. Sorry to all who love them, JMO.
Prodrag1320, how did that Champion sparkplug thing go for you? I think that thread got me started here, and I never heard how it went after.

Man, that sucks! Well at least you got some publicity out of it. If I tear into the Sportster engine next winter, I'll know a few places for parts.
