Anyone going to Laughlin this year

    The Laughlin River Run is just over 4 weeks away and I was wondering if anyone here will be headed there this year.

    Nope but planning on Street Vibs this year, that a bit north and then you turn right for a short ways for you.

    I'm planning on going just to see all the goodies the vendors will have. You never know what might just jump into my hands. Maybe an oil cooler, or a sidecar, maybe new metzlers. Its always fun to look around. The riding around there isn't very good but the trip from here is fun. It's about 500 miles that can be a fun ride especially if hwy 120 is open. And Vegas is always good for a couple of days worth of trouble...........Bob

    Just asking because this year instead of riding or attending I will be running a vendor booth there. So if anyone happens to make it out there be sure to stop by and say hey!

    I'll keep my camera close for any choice shots, but will likely be busy manning the booth.

    I'm debuting some new things I've been working on but I doubt it will be enough to prompt the type of pictures you are looking for :p

    Ken, how would I know what or where your booth is? Living in Las Vegas, I generally go down on Friday morning for the day during the Run the past few years.

    I will have a small booth in the vendor area in front of the Colorado Belle casino.

    I'll have the CV Performance logo (aka Bike Talk logo) proudly displayed on a banner. Stop on by and say hey, it's always great to see the faces behind the names.

    Cool Ken, I'll be looking for ya. I go to the Yamaha breakfast every year at the Flamingo (or whatever they're calling it now..used to be a Hilton) on Friday morning, then check out the venders for a while and head home by dinner time.

    Well I went out Friday after work and came back Saturday late afternoon. The ride out, going straight east for me, was great. Wind at my back, perfect temp, clear sky. threw the tent up in Needles and then rode out to Laughlin to do the usual site seeing and meet Ken. The crowds where kind of thin this year.

    Found Ken pedaling his wares and had a great conversation with him. Great guy, I found out I only live about 20 miles from him so hopefully we'll get together for a ride soon.

    The wind picked up over night and being in a tent it kept me up all night until I put my earplugs in. Saturday I rode out to Oatman on old route 66 and MAN was it ever freakin cold all day. Usually it is over 100 during this time, but today it was in the 50s. The wind was fierce all day. I think I got about 25 miles per gallon on the way home.

    Sorry, I didn't get any good pics cept some of Oatman before the battery went dead.
