well i got the throttle and idle cables and they are to small they work but just look to tight and are rubbing on the tank ,heres my question the book only list cables 6'' over stock for my bike about 37'' but if i go with roadking cables they will go up to about 45''
will road king cables work on my bike or are the carbs set up in a diffrent way ?thanks for any help

I'm not 100% sure but I think the Roadking cables would work as long as they are from the same era. I would try your local shop 1st. I once got a free set of good used cables from them, I also purchased a carb though. A lot of people change them out for different reasons, braided, longer, shorter, etc. They should at least have a set you can look at and match up by hand to see if they will suit your needs.

You could also call Direct Parts technical support people. They may also be able to help.

    Good luck long arms :D

As long as they are CV, later than 1995 and the same elbow any cable will work.
Stock your cables are 32" so, six inch overs will be 38". If they are too tight for 38" go with some 40". Too long is as bad as too short...trust me.
