I have a 1993 Heritage Softail. I'm thinking of putting apes on the bike. Does anyone know how tall I can go without changing cables? Does anyone have any tips?

not much probably add 1 to 2 inches, the restriction will be the front brake line.

Loosen up the bars and remove the upper clamp then lift until it's snug and back off a bit, have someone measure the lift you got from the bottom clamp

Add that to your rise and you'll know.

well i went to 12" and the guy claims to have had to change them all. keep in mind when your're done you'll want all the cables matching. so if you change one sometimes you have to change them all so they look the same:devil:
