Took in some car show madness with the daughter on the weekend. Got to meet Rick Dale and his lovely wife Kelly. Snapped some pics, including a mid 70's sportscar built here in New Brunswick. This show has been going on for over a decade? around here and now has over 2000 cars from all over N.A. show up for the 4 day festival. Youtube it for more info.

Guess I should mention Rick Dale is from the Discovery show "American Restoration" and the car was a Bricklin. I need to proofread this stuff, I guess!

I love that black 68 mustang. I had one in creamy yellow.

    I like the old pickups.

Fatboy my Mustang was a 65 hardtop 289 auto on the floor. Sure wished I had it back.

Yep me too. Mine was stolen out of my drive and put on a ship in Brooklyn and down to South America. In 71 hundreds of pony cars were sent there by the mob. Mine was a GT 302 235 horse. Cherry condition. Man I cried over losing it.

I've heard of stolen high end luxury SUVs and pickups going overseas, and we had a little town up by the N.B./Que. border where most of the residents were running around in stolen SUVs, (must have made the cops wonder when every driveway in front of tarpaper shacks had a Caddy Escalade), but the Mob ponycar story is news to me. That would make a cool true crime novel, I imagine.

They didn't need titles or registrations then. I was told a mustang could get $ 10 grand (this was in 1970-71) on the street where I lived five friends lost 3 mustangs, 1 firebird and a camaro. Eventually they busted a person who was the spotter and the guys who stole but they never got the big guys.

Well, Atlantic Nats is on it's 14th year they say, and up soon is MotoMoncton in early Aug., and Shediac Motorcycle Rally towards the end of Aug. Lots of stuff still going on this year, and starts all over again next year. Lots of hotels for all budgets and the Casino is hosting the guys from Counting Cars for a car/bike show in Sept from what I've heard.
