Back Fire Won't Crank

    :mad: Problem started when the negative cable melted off the battery???? No known reason for this happening. I changed out the starter and the cylinoid. Now I am getting back fire through the exhaust and it will not crank over. Highly aggrevaited at this point.

    Obviously, somewhere along the line you have a hot lead coming into contact with the neg, and more than likely, an un-fused lead at that, being that it "melted the neg lead off the battery! You're going to have to start at the known source of the problem and work your way backwards.
