Bad Plug Wires

    I have checked my plug wires and I am not getting continuity through either one of them. Wouldn't that be strange for both plug wires to get fried at the same time? I am running a Crane HI 4 dual fire electronic ignition and have 7mm suppression wires. Are these the right kind? Shouldn't I be getting continuity through them? Anybody got any help?

    Nope. Typical carbon core wires can (& do) break inside the insulation & you won't see it. Harleys have been known to vibrate y'know :roflmao:

    I'd switch that ignition to single-fire (if you can - mine is) & get some quality wires that don't have the brittle carbon core. Spiral wound Monel plug wires are a good option.

    I had stainless braided wires on mine. Both started arcing out and the bike ran like ass. When I removed them, I was really surprised at how bad they were. One was just a little worse than the other. Then I replaced them with some quality black rubber ones and it's been fine.
