Been Trying for 19 yrs to get the county since I have lived where I live to get the county to move the sign on the main road farther north toward the State park road.
He was headed to the state park.
Its the next major left from our neighborhood.
We get this all the time. Or somebody looking for the state park.
The GPS tells people to turn in 1/4 of a mile on the next right.
They drive a few hundred feet and turn into out neighborhood.
The roads in our neighborhood are NOT wide enough to support people with campers, or big movie star campers you drive.
    Well it happened again.
Even if the man had of made the curve they would of taken the mailboxes out.
Their left axle went all way down in the turn and got the axle on the ground and the spare tire under the trailer is on the ground.
He has called for Road side assistance. Got no idea how they gonna get him out.
Tractor trailers can't come into our neighborhood.

His trailer come down on the left side of the bed on his 3/4 ton chevy and crushed it.
    Look at the picture.

maybe your neighborhood should put a sign out front that says this is not the park no matter what your GPS is telling you, keep going another 1/4 mile...

I've tried to talk to the people over the civic club for 19 yrs.
They said the county said we could not put any signs up on the sides of the road, Period.
And the county will not do anything about the problems.

To bad that common sense no longer exists, I drag race some and have a good perspective of 1/4 mile = 1320 feet, NOT a few hundred. Most likely the copilot told him to turn (lol) It is a sad fact that when things like this happen repeatedly and the local road dept. does not try to make things better.

These folks come up from Houston.
Sometimes I wonder how they ever make it.

The civic club asked the county if we could put up a sign.
They said Not on county property on the side of the roads.
It was 1 man and his wife.
1st wrecker came 3 time and couldn't get him out.
Buddy up on the main road has a friend with several wreckers.
A Mack diesel wrecker came out at dark . And got him out.

And the guy can't hear the lady on the GPS say 800' turn left. He goes about 200' and turns left.

And this is all day everyday.

Another saturn came in asking how to get to an address. When they left my buddys house at the end of the block they nearly ran over me on my Mule.
A little later my Buddy's OL came home and said the folks in the saturn nearly ran over her coming back to the house.

If you want to play Mr. Nice guy and come up here and set a booth up.
You can spend all day 7 days a week with the folks driving down a one lane road that has one lane roads in a neighborhood and assist these folks coming up that do not live up here.
I did it for nearly 19 yrs.
    I'm threw with them.

Can't blame you. I don't understand why the county won't move the sign. Another "sign" of the times: bureaucratic bullsh*t blues. Show the county the picture.

AH yer just an old fart that likes ta gripe about it...

Get a petition up have everyone sign it, attach photos like the
one you have here, and send it to the right people,

squeaky wheel gets the grease, yer retired nothing to do, ride the bike up to the county every day and ask them where yer damn sign is.

Hell move the sign yourself, they'll never know...

Put a sign up yourself, all they can do is take it down
    just get some spares,

I guess being a truck driver for well over 30 years tells me not to try cause the road is to small to make a turn on , But like FLHT said keep the cans in the truck & where gloves don't leave dna behind , depends on size of sigh but a engine hoist on a low boy will life it up & have two friends digging new holes while you & another are lifting sigh
