Stock belt or aftermarket that is the question. Broke my final drive belt last night and I was wondering about opinions?

I don’t know who makes the belt for Harley, but the 2 after-market belts that I know of are Gates and Panther, both are good belts. I currently am using a Gates belt, I have 6K on it, and it has not stretched one bit.(I have yet to adjust it). With that said, if and when this belt does go, I plan on going to a chain, (ever needed to change a belt out in the middle of Wyoming?). I like the idea of being able to change my final gear ratio, and just carrying a master-link incase it breaks.
    My two cents.
