I rented that from NetFlix on DVD last month. It's a great movie and reminded me why the late 60's and early 70's may be a little fuzzy now.

Yeah, I also have Easy Rider on DVD. But my top biker flicks are The Wild One and Wild Hogs. Totally different flicks. There are other, more obscure ones out there that I saw back decades ago that I liked better than ER, but I don't remember their names. ER does capture a good bit of the free-for-all road trip side of riding that I like.

Maybe I'd like ER better if Karen Black were hotter.:D

    Hello:

I personally like Beyond The Law with Charlie Sheen. I'd seen the movie before I owned a harley. I enjoyed the movie much more being able to recognize some bikes in it.

I own copies of The Wild One, Beyond the Law, Running Cool, and Wild Hogs (gift). The Wild One started it all and is a pretty good movie once you wrap your head around when it was filmed. Beyond the Law is one of my all time favorite movies although not my favorite biker movie. Wild Hogs was bought as a gift and I did enjoy the message (there was one if you were paying attention but you have to wait until the end to get it, still think it is RUB propoganda LOL). My favorite of all time biker movie has to be Running Cool. Do NOT confuse this with the black bobsled team Cool Runnings. Running Cool was a low budget no hype straight to VHS movie. The story is too often redone but this was a great twist on it. I would credit four things with my desire to own a motorcycle. First was stories of my Grandfather (who died in 44). He was one of the original riders in my hometown. Second would be the old school brother I work with. Next is the idea of building my own scoot from Beyond the Law, and last but not least the Brotherhood and Love from Running Cool.

Dang that got long quick, sorry about that. Find a copy of Running Cool and burn the better part of two hours some rainy afternoon, you won't regret it.

Fave movie is "On any Sunday", for me it's what riding is all about. World's fastest Indian was really enjoyable, I know a few guys like Bert Munro. Easy Rider, I really liked this movie at one time...still do but I've changed and aged, the movie's aged and the world's changed and maybe we all "Blew it"
I don't enjoy it as much now. The Wild One was good but I prefer "On the Waterfront" for an old Brando flick. Wild Hogs wasn't a great movie but it was fun and anyone that has spent some serious seat time must have gotten some chuckles. Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man was bad enough to be enjoyable. I'm searching down a copy of Electra Glide in Blue I've only seen it the once at a theatre..a long time ago.
BluePearl, you should be able to get a DVD copy of Easy Rider at HMV, I got an anniversary copy of it last year.

I thought the Worlds Fastest Indian was the best Bike movie made, it had everything, bikes, sex, travel, adventure, risk, adverse conditions, insurrmountable odds, magnanimnous freinds, people trying to keep Burt out, history, truth, Thought hopkins nailed the role.

Easy Rider is good but you really got to want to go back to the 60's man,
    Wild hogs was funny

Great Escape has a great motorcycle segment
Black Rain has a great HD moment in the beginning with the race then the japanese guys on bikes with swords in Tokyo.

All great movies(except wild hogs sorry) but Easy Rider depicts just the want of the open road best for me, and shows the better side of being a "biker" back before life got complicated!

Would have said Beyond the Law and Running Cool, but since they have been mentioned, what about Stone Cold, Chrome Soldiers (maybe not lol), or even Mad Max? Jack Nicholson also made another bike movie after Easy Rider, but I forget the name.

The worst film I have EVER seen happens to be a bike movie - 'Werewolves on Wheels'. Its far far worse than it sounds!!!

I think overall, Stone Cold is my top pick

Glad to hear someone else has seen Running Cool LOL. I was starting to think I was alone.

I had forgotten Stone Cold. I loved that scooter Bosworth rode in that movie. Thanks for the memory.
