Beware of female drivers!!

I was riding to work yesterday when I observed a female driver, who cut right in front of a pickup truck, causing the driver to drive onto the shoulder to avoid hitting her. This evidently angered the driver enough that he hung his arm out his window and gave the woman the finger.

"Man, that guy is stupid," I thought to myself. I ALWAYS smile nicely and wave in a sheepish manner whenever a female does anything to me in traffic, and here's why:
I drive 48 miles each way every day to work. That's 96 miles each day. Of these, 16 miles each way is bumper-to-bumper. Most of the bumper-to-bumper is on an 8 lane highway. There are 7 cars every 40 feet for 32 miles. That works out to 982 cars every mile, or 31,424 cars.
Even though the rest of the 32 miles is not bumper-to-bumper, I figure I pass at least another 4000 cars. That brings the number to something like 36,000 cars that I pass every day. Statistically, females drive half of these.
That's 18,000 women drivers! In any given group of females, 1 in 28 has PMS.
That's 642.

According to Cosmopolitan, 70% describe their love life as dissatisfying or unrewarding. That's 449.
According to the National Institute of Health, 22% of all females have seriously considered suicide or homicide.
That's 98.
And 34% describe men as their biggest problem.
That's 33.
According to the National Rifle Association, 5% of all females carry
weapons and this number is increasing.

That means that EVERY SINGLE DAY, I drive past at least one female
that has a lousy love life, thinks men are her biggest problem, has
seriously considered suicide or homicide, has PMS, and is armed.
Give her the finger?

Good advice but it'll be a cold day when I'm afraid a some bitch puttin' her makeup on......I'm a little angry myself, maybe SHE ought to be more careful. (I'm not some bad-ass, just can't stand those damn cagers doing everything BUT driving) Ok, Ok, I'm takin' a breath.

Motorcycle Firearms

With the growing popularity of personal firearms carry among motorcyclists, it's important to find the weapon that best meets our rather specific self defense needs. On occasion, a drunk driver or a car driver experiencing road rage will purposefully ram a motorcycle, which never works out well for the motorcyclist.

Use your superior agility and acceleration to evade the car if you can. However, because the driver is attacking the motorcyclist with a deadly weapon (the car), the motorcyclist is legally entitled to defend him or her self with lethal force, probably a firearm. Will you ever be in this situation? Let's hope not. But should you be, here are some suggestions that might just keep you alive:

When selecting a firearm for motorcycle carry, opt for one that has a ported barrel, especially if your choice is a lightweight gun in a magnum caliber. Ported barrels are a relatively new technology, and they significantly reduce the recoil of the firearm. That means that when you are firing from a moving motorcycle, the shot will be less likely to disrupt your balance.


Additionally, choose a high velocity medium bore cartridge (.357 Magnum, .38 Super, .357 Sig, or 9mm Luger+P). When you are firing at a moving vehicle, remember that the bullet must penetrate safety glass and still stay on target. .357/9mm high velocity or +P rounds are smaller in diameter than the big bore calibers, but pack a big punch; this translates into more penetration power. I use a Taurus Total Titanium Tracker, which is a very accurate seven shot .357 Magnum revolver.


For the same reason, keep relatively heavy weight (for example 158 grain in .357 Magnum) full metal jacket or jacketed soft point ammo in the firearm when on the road. Especially avoid hollow point bullets, which provide less penetration than standard cast lead bullets.


Practice firing the weapon from your motorcycle. For this, you need a large, privately owned, sparsely populated property area where you know ahead of time there will be no people wandering around. Start with dry fire practice. Pick a specific target (like a tree) as you are moving and track it, dry firing the gun 3-6 times at the target. Once you are comfortable taking your eyes off the road for the time it takes to fire 3-6 rounds, load the firearm and practice firing one round at a time at a paper target (so you can see where your bullets hit) in front of a safe backstop. Start with a smaller caliber if you have one available. (Another reason I like a .357 Magnum revolver is that you can use the same gun to fire the lighter .38 Special round.) Work your way up until you can empty all the chambers comfortably and accurately with full power ammunition.


If you decide to fire, FIRE AT THE DRIVER, NOT THE CAR. Obvious in retrospect, make sure you decide to fire at the driver before you engage to avoid time-consuming, and therefore dangerous, mistakes.


Once you hit the driver, get away from the car! The car could go ANYWHERE at that point, and the farther you move away from it, the less likely it is to accidentally hit you.
If you are ever in a situation where you are being attacked with lethal force on the road, it goes without saying that you should try to escape by any means possible that does not endanger your life or the life of innocent bystanders. Evade if you possibly can, resorting to lethal counter-force only as a last resort.

golf balls

I carry golf balls in my pocket while riding. they have a nice little way of bouncing away after they land on a vehicle. i hate tose guys who tailgate me. ususally the smart ones back off when they see my hand go into my pocket. fireitup

Too soft

Golf balls are too soft, try 3/4" ball bearings.

Find some old porcelain lamp fixtures and smash them up into dime or quarter sized pieces....then aim for the windows. ....and watch the drivers eyes go like this when their windows are taken out.

One of my best friends said he saw this tested on Myth busters I think...but porcelain resonates at a frequency when it contacts the glass that shatters the glass...no matter how thick.

My buddy and his Dad didn't know if they could honestly believe it so they took a window out of a junk car on his Dad's farm, smashed up a porcelain light fixture, then dropped [NOT threw] the chunk of porcelain from a couple feet above onto the car window and it shattered into many many tiny pieces. They couldn't believe it....and until I try the experiment myself, I still find it hard to believe; but they assure me it works.

well ya know i don't want to get too violent or cause anyone any phsical damage is why i find golf balls good enough. and they just bounce away and no one knows who did it, not really. i really do not want to hurt no one. it is not in my nature. there could be children in the car. lots of guys i know carry rolls of pennies and stuff that can do damage. golf balls are good enough for me. fireitup

bike is ready

Hi everyone, My bike is ready. i can go get it tomorrow. its got the steel braided brake lines on the front. only problem it snowed here today. only a little but enough to mess me up.if the roads are clear enough i will ride it home. have to wait and see. just wanted to go for a litlle jaunt around town. i miss riding so much. i hate the winter cause of it. wanted some carb work done on it and valve clearance done too and loud pipes. that will have to wait. i ride everyday after work in the good weather and on my days off i am gone. i love the heldeburgh mountains and vermont is beautiful too. all the winding roads are so much fun. Nothing like the feel of acceleration and shift transition on a motorcycle. good night everyone fireitup
