I had a positive battery bolt come loose once and it did the same thing, so like Chuck said check pos and neg connections.

The connections were all tight at the battery. Not sure where the main breaker is. My manual is at home right now.

make sure connections are tight at the frame(ground) use a test light to see if there is power to the fuses, then check the main breaker....i dont know where it is on your bike but the manual will show it.

You could also have a battery cable that has corroded inside, has happened. Good Luck.

Check the line side of your ignition switch for juice...if none it's between there and the battery...if you have power on the line side turn the switch on and check the load side for juice. If none it's the switch, if there is power keep going forward until there is none.

Put multimeter on today, checked voltae from battery to starter 12.84 volts, checked across studs on main circuit breaker first time 4.87 volts, went from battery to copper stud 12.84 volts, battery to second stud 12.84 volts, across studs now 12.84 volts. Turned on ignition switch everything works. Sounds like main circuit breaker going bad, does this sound right?

    THanks, :wtf:

Could be hd replaced that with the Maxi Fuse 40 amp main fuse, you might consider doing the upgrade and dumping the breaker

Usually the breaker trips and then comes back and the bike will restart once it cools

You can get the breaker at any auto parts store BTW so you don't have to pay dealer prices.

When I pulled the breaker out it fell apart. The dealer would have been a better deal in this case their price was $4.99 not in stock, NAPA Auto Parts $7.99 oh well. Bike isback to normal. Thanks to everyone.:)

Glad you found the problem. Git a extra.

Notised you had a Thundermax. When the Thundermax was installed, did they use Dialetic grease on all the Electrical connections ?

Glad that worked out for you.

Next time at the dealer ask about the 40 Amp Maxi Fuse

Cardboard, I've had it on five months now and I love it. The idle is a lot smoother and it starts up real quick. The mileage has gone up and there is no hesitation or pinging. I always had backfiring on decel and the heat was bad with the true duals and FuelPac and i could never get it just right. Now I just ride and let the thundermax make the changes and update the learned changes after a long ride.:D
