Bike wont idle

    i just installede the stage 1 tuner kit on my 05 883 sporster custom. moved the jets up to 44 idle and 175 main. this bike also has cobra speedsters on it. as well as a screaming eagle high flow air cleaner. after i installed all of the following, i cannot get this bike to idle! it will crank, and seems to run quite smoothly when i throttle up on it. please help! the weather only stays nice for 2 months in north dakota!

    have you tried to adjust the idle screw??? it should idle at around 900 to 1000 rpm.....also, tech questions are answered quicker in the tech section....good luck, and let us know how ya do!!

    yep yep, adjusted the idle screw on the throttle bracket on the side of the carb. between adjusting that and the air/fuel ez just knob, ive managed to get the ol sportster runnin pretty good.
    cant believe i didnt think to do this in the first place.
    anyway, thanx for pointing this out. twas a quick fix!
