I've got another of my oddball questions to put out to you folks. I've got the bracket's for highway peg's, and everything I need except for the mounting bolts. Would anyone happen to know the bolt size to mount them? I called a local dealer, but received a less than helpful answer to a question that wouldn't make them a lot of profit. I'm putting the bracket's on a 2006 Street Bob.

they could be one of a few different sizes.....are you able to take the part to an auto parts store and rummage through their bolt bin???? once you find the correct size....get the bolt in a grade 8. much stronger than the run of the mill grade 5 or less..............

Because you can get stainless or crome, I get mine at Ace Hardware...

Most of the hiway pegs I've put on were either 5/16 or 3/8's - some in fine thread and others in coarse. Most of the female threaded rods are a blind hole type so make sure you get the proper length.
But either way ya go - is OK - use a little loctite (Red) so you don't have a peg falling off down the road.
Ace Hardware has a great selection of ss and chrome bolts for about half of what the dealers sell them for.
