I just installed Branch heads on the ’99 Fatboy (EVO) with an EV46 (duration 246, lift 495) cam. It has been recommended that I change the the Mikuni-42 main jet to 162.5 or 165. Does anyone have experience with this set up? What do you recommend?

    Thank you in advance...

Typically the more flow you add, the more fuel you'd need, also you need to be able to adjust timing with the added power.

What I would do is find a good dyno shop let them do 3 pulls and make sure they get the AFR curve on the chart, then you can see where you are across the full spectrum, makes it easier to determine what you need.

You have to think, pilot jet, main jet, needle jet and pump.

Did a dyno run yesterday and the 160-main jet is in fact the correct one. The needle and pilot jet are also properly set, at the factory settings.
