wondering what kind of experience anyone has building breakout boxes. I used a Kent-Moore general motors Breakout box that is used with different adapters and cut the connectors off a used power commander to build an adapter to fit the ECM on my heritage and my rocker. I would to like to make an adapter to fit newer models but don't want to pay three hundred bucks for a new power commander just to get the connectors. Anyone know where I could buy the connectors? Any other ways of making your own breakout boxes?

Have you contacted Power Commander to see if they sell the connectors separately? If they don't sell them to the general public, maybe they sell them to dealers.

Stop making fun of me Chuck, just because you had to tell me to bungee cord my saddlebag onto my bike because my brain was friend in that south Louisiana heat. :roflmao:

You could also try eBay or a swapmeet for an old Power Commander. I have one for sale, but it only fits '02 - '04 and hooks up to the computer with a serial cable. If I understand what you're saying, that wouldn't matter, but it's limited on the years it works for.
