I got to try a few pistols today. Let's see if I remember them:
First photo your left to right:
Ruger 44 mag short barrel (my first 3 were bulls eyes at 10 yards)
Ruger 357 mag (another accurate gun for me)
45 semi forgot brand. (I did ok tight group at 10 o'clock every time)
Glock 9 ( no like this thing!)
Berretta 9. (Nice handling gun. I consistently shot this best )
Next photo is of a 45 XDM or S (pocket gun. I had problems getting decent groups.
Browning High Power 9. (A very sweet smooth action gun that I did as well as the Berretta.
The tiny gun is a 22 long. POS
    [IMG]
    I haven't held a pistol since 1980.
The XD jammed a few times.

I'm new to this and I would not spend money for a glock.

The owner of the guns in the first photo also gets the best groups with the Berretta. I also did best with it (except for the 44, I did amazingly well with that little canon)

I carried glock for 20 plus years.
Wouldn't carry a bullet in the chamber.
    Don't trust it.
    I carried Israeli style.
Got a Kimberling then a Dan Wesson.
But I sure do like 1911 Springfields.

What ever works is fine, I have no issues with glocks they are safe with a round in the chamber, as are all striker fired,

My Nephew is a Greenberet and has done 4 tours in Afganistan and several in Iraq
Carries a Glock that holds 19 rounds of 9mm. He's used it at many close firefights and told me that he likes it because it holds 19 rounds and simply works all the time under the harshest of conditions.
Me I'm not a Glock fan but do like the the Sig line, very reliable pistols but very expensive.
The Springfield you didn't like Fatboy is the XDS 3.3 45. Cardboard has one and I have one in the 4 inch version, has less muzzle flip than the 3.3 version.

Wheel guns are pretty cool to and I have 3, a 6 inch S&W 357 a Ruger 357 2.5 inch barrel and a Ruger Blackhawk 357/9mm. All shoot very well.

My favorite carry is my S&W 9mm Shield. I put night sights on it and just really like the little thing. I have a Ruger SR9C with Talon sand paper grips, very accurate pistol.

Least favorite is the Springfield XDS 45 ( to much muzzle flip )

    Love my Sig 1911 3 inch 45
