Several months ago one of youse guys recommended Bug Slide for cleaning the bike including the windshield of bug guts and other junk. Well back then I ordered it over the web and since i have 2 bottles of Novus Plastic Clean and shine i haven't used the Bug Slide until today.
I cleaned the windshield with Novus and as usual there was some bug guts that refused to come off without really scrubbing hard and risking scratches. Then I remembered the Bug Slide. Gave a squirt and like magic the bugs guts came right off. Tomorrow at my club meeting I'm giving away the Novus.

Cardboard started that thread about bug slide. I use windex to clean my bike. Works really well on everything, but then I don't have a windscreen or a beautiful paint job, either LOL.

Guess what, we carry one of those small squirt bottles filled with water. We spray a heavy mist of water on the bugs let sit for a bit then wipe em off, works like magic and water is cheap. Now for general cleaning and polish ShowTime works great.

You must have water soluble bug guts up and out there! NY bugs are filled with epoxy.

your lucky not to get them, their a PITA!!! If you don't wash them off I've seen where they actually take some paint off with them. I don't ride when they really heavy...some years worse then others, and have 2 seasons of them spring and late summer, usually 3 or 4 weeks long. They taste awful (don't ask how I know) the birds won't even eat them.:gah:

I can agree with the dryer sheets, just wet them and wipe, even leaves the paint shining when done

Yeah, I was wonderin' how they got their name. I ran into bug swarms down in southern Loiusiana a couple times on my ironhead. Keep mouth shut. don't breathe. Great fun.
