I recently found a great lubrication for cables and all moving parts. It is called ZEP 45. It is a diesel lubricant. A friend that is a diesel mechanic told me about it and I have noticed that it seems to work better than anything else I have tried.

    Just passing on the info.

Zep works real good. It doesn't trap dirt and dust like WD 40 does. I use it at work all the time and have good results.

I'd like to try it against Tri Flow Spray !

I've never found a lubricant as good as Tri Flow.

    nice picture cardboard
I myself use zep 45 and bardal, would like to try tri flow against them is it common, as I don't recall seeing it anywhere.
also zep 45 works very well when servicing your garage door recoil springs. FYI

    Thanks !

Big Bend State Park in Texas is the picture. Hiway 170 area.
Just got back. over 1800 mile ride 4 days.

I've seen Tri Flow Spray at 1 Harley dealer in Houston.
Its hard to find. But well worth it. I'm a retired Locksmith owner. And used it for over 30 yrs on locks etc.
The newer Harleys have teflon coated cables.

Tri-Flow Lubricant. 12oz. SHIPS BY GROUND ONLY.

I have had preety good luck with 3&1 oil, just a light machine oil. I hang my cables up and make a funnel with paper or kitchen foil around the upper end, keep the funnel full of oil until oil cokes out the lower end. works very well and lasts a good long time.

If you ever want to lub it good git a cable oiler and some Tri Flow Spray and do it right. It makes the job much easier.

Got a buddy in Cape Royal with one, we pulled the cable and put it around the cable and tighten it up on the cable , it has a place for a plastic nossel to go in. We sprayed the lube down in the cable , the one he has worked great. It forced the lube down into the cable.
I will have to ask Bud where he got his.

I've had a couple of those clamp on cable luber things. Thats why I do it the way I do. I guess I could do the same funnel, thing then squirt the tri-flow or zep45 in the funnel.
