They're not throw-away quality, just inexpensive bearings here. When you remove the cams and support plate to change the oil pump, you may change the fit when re-installing cams. Some times a roller will fall out when you pull the cams. Make sure it didn't go into the crankcase.

your talking about the bearings in the cam plate right? its not the age or the milage of the bearings, its when you press the cams out,it puts un even pressure on the inner race, pressing against the bearing rollers.replace them, for the 30.00 its well worth it

When you had the cams done you should of replaced everything then.
Not have one thing done and then come back later on and do something else.
If you had of called Bobby woods you could of got a cam plate, oil pump, cams and bearing and gaskets from him.

That's what I say a lot. When you do something don't just try to get by.
Or think you know more and can build the ball better than the experts has already done with your combination.
Git a Kit and do a build. Don't create problems for yerself cause you don't have the money or you think you can do it better.
The ball has already been build and its round.

I did buy the SE kit Had chucktx put it in , he also put onthe Andrews 26 cams , but just over one thousand miles the bike over heated & I found & installed a 06 top end & was going to take the 26 cam out as I am not happy with them the gears in the pump broke , so I ordered a new pump from San jac HD & they sold me The wrong pump I now have the right pump says San jac & Iam getting it done as I can't get to it myself from my wheel chair

Are you changing cams? If not you should not have to press out cams and bearings to change pump just leave cams in the plate installed as they are now don't remove back gears or chain. Pull it out as one assembly
