Went out and looked and drove a 2012 Camero today with 19000 miles on it. Dang thing is loaded with everything including heated seats. Wife needs those :) Younger couple brought it into the chevy dealership ready to pop their first kid.

Dang nice car and what a hoot to drive. Red with a black strip down the middle. Automatic, don't want no stick anymore. Still thinking about it.

Darn thing has the speedometer showing on the windshield when your driving it, weird.

Cool ride. A fishing buddy has one. He's got the 305hp v6. No slouch.

Those are some sharp looking rigs. They stand out on the road.

"Cop magnet", a brake standing, tire squealing, road ripping, holy-#$%^ handle gripping, wallet raping car. Like a guy's Monte Carlo that posts on here once in awhile.

Even the 6 in those makes half decent power from what I've heard. Big step up from my old Firebird in High School.

First thing I was thinking is to put those spot mirrors on the side mirrors. It is a bit hard to see to the side. Out the back not to bad and has the back up camera for when backing up.

396's back in the 60's were rated between 325 hp in the L35 to 390 hp in the LS5

There was also a limited production 396 that was put in Corvettes that was rated at 425 hp.

Rumor has it that they were conservatively rated for insurance purposes.

I wanted a used 70 Camero 396 SS as a first car but dad said no frickin way...Probably a good thing too. Ended up with a Firebird Formula 400 with an automatic which was a nice car...

They rated ho different back then compared to now. I had a 235 hp 68 mustang GT. Back in the day. Then I had a 89 Grand Prix with a fuel injected 3.1 v6. Grand Prix would put the mustang away.

Wife didn't like it so we decided not the car for us. She said she couldn't see over the hood good enough and said it was uncomfortable. I never seen a women more finicky about car seats in my life.
