Changing cams ALWAYS involves compromise - you must give up one thing to get another, i.e., if you want more top-end HP, you have to give away some low-end torque to get it. So think about what it is that you want to accomplish first.

if you just want a little more Git up and go from about 2500 to 4500 rpm

    Woods 6-6
    SNS 555
    Andrews tw26
    SE 255

all are low to mid range cams, not made for 6000 RPM hard racing pulls, but will get
the bike moving and of the line better and improve passing power, and all are bolt in.

you need to check the runout, with the camplate in place......the instructions will give you the tolerances required.....if these are not met, you will have major problems!!!!

your 08 has a new syle tensioner that is hydraulically applied and isnt near the problem as the old spring applied tensioners, I wouldnt even consider going to gear drive with an 08, I am betting your runout would not be in spec for gear anyway, Todd

Reading your bio you have an 08

Gear drive is not an option
    and it's not necessary
    especially with the new tensioner
    system..

    Cams are an ez swap.

Just get adjustable HD tapered pushrods

TTS mastertune to tune the bike..
