    whould I get more power out of my T.C. motor if I just install a cam olny?

    I believe it's possible, but I certainly don't know it all. But you'd have to add two since you're a T.C.:)

    installing a cam, with no other modifications...ie....intake,exhaust...wont get you much. you could overcam and decrease your preformance and economy....hope this helps a bit....and welcome to the institution!!:p

    thanks for the info.So if I install Screamin Eagle Exhaust and High-Flow Air Cleaner and rejet the carb. then install the cams will this cobo give me more power and better preformance? thanks

    I'm not sure, but I think you need to throw pushrods in there too. I'm pretty sure your stock pushrods won't fit with the new cams. Anyone I've spoken with says to go with adjustable pushrods so you don't have to pull the heads.

    adjustable pushrods depend on if you are doing the work or someone else. For instance, if I was going to do just cams I would pull the heads and use an .030 cometic gasket and rebolt the heads to bump compression slightly then use the stock pushrods. But thats just me. Depending on what you ride if you do a good set of pipes or some slip ons with an aircleaner and some andrews 26 cams you will notice a definite improvement over stock. This is a really open ended question you asked due to not knowing the type of bike or how you ride that bike.

    I have a friend with a 02 Ultra, just popped on pipes, Ness Big Sucker Filter, and a set of 37B's, ran in the high 80's for TQ and hp, pulled hard.

    Reason we went 37B's is he wanted to do a big bore later (which we did) Now it pulls the front wheel off the ground.


    Yes you can change cams but these bikes respond to combinations to improve like

    Cams
    Airfilter kit
    pipes

    If EFI a powercommander is needed for programming a good curve so you'll want to have it dyno tuned.
