Got a call from an old friend of mine who said he made a really big mistake. He is 74 and bought one of those Can-Am Spyders. Told me he can't stand it and hates the way it rides. He said it scares him in the corners. So he got back on board his 96 1500 Goldwing and said its like going from a bulldozer to a Cadillac. Never heard it put quit like that before.
Anyone ever rode one of them things.

Yes sir, a buddy of mine got one. He said the corners are a b__tch until ya get used to it. Seems it will switch lanes in a heart beat if ya touch the brakes. He said it was VERY F N SCARY at first but now he loves it (he's 73 years young). But frankly, I don't know if he would admit he made a mistake buying it since we tease him so much about it.

Yea my old friend Milt said he wants to trike his Goldwing now. His knees are bad and getting hard to hold up the bike. Told him to check out the Champion trike kits they make a pretty good one.

My friend Milt is a pretty big guy, probably 300 pounds and might be that the Spyder just don't fit him. Anyway he parked it. Need to get back up to Vancouver WA and see him again. He had a real good looking girl friend for awhile that was 20 years younger than him. He said she left him, not enough sex:roflmao: told me she was wearing him out:eek: I need one of those. :)
I think he is going to sell that Spyder and have a Trike kit put on his wing.

Got a buddy across the street who got one 3 yrs ago. He was in a truck wreck and got his ankle crushed. Cost the insurance company 400,000
He had a 08 EG, he sold it and got a Cam Am SPyder.
My wife liked it , wouldn't shut up about it till she rode it. She come back freaked out.
She come back and said it don't have any front brakes.
He still has it and still rides it.
The doc said if he rides a regular bike and puts his foot down wrong, he could break it. Right now it has pins holding it together.
MOst of the bone was crushed and taken out.
His wife screamed when he went to Demo Days at the Harley dealer with me and rode regular bikes.
I can't ride any trike, they freak me out.
I demoed a Ultra Trike the OL was on back. She was laughing her self todeath.
I would go around a curve and be leaning way off the bike, and she was sittin up straight.
They are squirley to me too.
Know some guys wifes that haul A(( on them. I never could do it.:gah:

Just returned from a 9 day car trip with the wife thru Montana and B.C. and we saw Spyders.Victory's. and Harley' s very few Japanese machines all going like some one is chasing them.Stopped at one dealer and checked floor prices on a new limited $31,000 and the place looked like a grave yard. Very beautiful country to ride in.and i agree with Marc you don't want his wife behind you that lady rides.

And all this time I've had chucktx and everybody telling me I drive too fast,
I burn more gas than Chucktx cause I'm constantly twistin the throttle to make the bike bark. And pushin everybodys rear fender on the curves

My buddy has the touring model. He got on the interstate where the speedlimit is 65 , he was running 80, I was pushing him to get up the interstate. I passed him runnin 90.
You can wind the spyder to the hilt and it will run no where as fast as my bike.
