    Hello all:

I've have a friend that has suzuki cruiser that is 820cc. He just put on a performance exhaust but didn't do any other changes to the bike. It now has to be choked a lot more to stay running. I don't remember which way the mixture screw needs to be turned. Any info would be appreciated.

Depends if the mixture screw is controlling air or fuel. If it is fuel, you want to open it more, or unscrew it. If it is controlling air, then close it more. Sounds like mixture is to lean. So you either need to adjust for more fuel or less air. Normally if the mixture screw is on the air cleaner side it is controlling air, if on the intake manifold side, it controls fuel.
