    Hello,
I just installed the CV performance carb turner kit. my bike is running at about 1000 rpms with the choke cable all the way out. i had 45 idle and a 200 main jet before and i put in the 46 and 185 as per the instructions. when the choke cable is pulled out completely, it would run from 1500 to 2000 rpms. any suggestions to fix this.

This sounds like an issue with the throttle cables binding. Does it rev high if you back the idle speed screw out until the throttle cam (where the cables attach) is completely closed? Typically jets won't have an effect on idle speed at all. I would double check that there isn't anything keeping the throttle plate from closing. I would also check that the L-shaped rod that controls the accelerator pump is not binding or holding the throttle cam partially open.

You didn't mention what model you have but based on the jet sizes you stated I think it is either our kit for a EVO 1340 or late model XL1200 (04-06).

Thanks, being this was my first time doing anything like this, it has been a learning experience. I realized that I had to adjust the throttle cables and the idle on the carburetor. I got it going after many hours of trial and error. thanks for the information
