I am by no stretch of the imagination a mechanic, but i enjoy DIY. I am about to put some Vance & Hines Longshots on my '02 Heritage Softail and I have one question. Will I have to re-jet the Carb or just "fine tune" it?

if all you do is exhaust and keep stock intake.....you should be fine. if you do both, then it is retune time...........

I installed the V&H short shot staggered on my 03' Heritage Softail Classic and didn't have to do anything, it made all the difference and sounded great !

I recently had the 25K Service done, so I will assume it is regular stock. I've had the bike 4 years and this is my first shot at modification, so ant advice is welcome

Cool - I'm thinking I will put on the pipes and see what happens. I can do the re-jet or Ccarb tune later. Thanks for the input!

a torque wrench is your friend here......you dont want to over/under tighten the nuts........and you want to use hd clamps, torqued to specs as aftermarket clamps dont work.........
