Hi Guys, Been working on my cb900C(1981) and am about to "wind up" the rolling restoration...there is one kink, and for the life of me,I cant figure it out...should be simple.:banghead:...Bike had no center stand, and the "ears" were bent up. Straightened them out,and installed a center stand(ebay of course)...While the stand itself works well,I can find NO attaching point on the frame for the spring.Dont know if its been ripped off,or is this a brain fart. The stand came with a spring, and a "1/4 moon" bracket(for lack of a better term)...one hole on each end. There IS a spring ear on the stand, but nowhere on the frame I can see to attach the other side...Can someone give me some ideas here?:witsend:

Can't help you with that one...Even tried doing a search and nothing came up...Have you tried a Honda dealer?

Have not as of yet, I have a friend that owns a Bike shop here in Memphis, May give him a call, but the likelyhood of him knowing the answer is slim at best...Thanks for the quick reply!

there should be either a small tab close to where the stand mounts or a small hole in the frame where the stand mounts

I think paying a visit to the dealership is your best bet . . . though they may not be willing to work on a sled as old as yours.

Looked yet again on Ebay, and after some searching,I found a "Bracket assy" that supposedly attaches to the frame for the spring attach point.IF this is the case,it would explain why I cant figure this out...It bolts on...Where,Im not sure, but for 10 bucks its well worth the gamble....Will post results.Hopefully this weekend!
    Cheers!

If memory serves me right, the half moon thing attaches to the spring and that piece goes over the cross tube that the stand is attached to.:witsend:
