On a lark when I got out of work yesterday at 4pm I told my wife to get ready cause when I get home we're heading out to parts unknown. She hadn't been on the bike yet as a consequence of the weather and our schedule.

Wasn't quite sure to which direction we were heading until after I picked her up and we decided to head north on VT state rt 14 and which parallels I-89 North in case we wanted to get back on the highway. It was a scenic rolling hills farming stretch of road. We stayed on it for what seemed like forever(28 miles), you don't make time on those bumpy ass cracked back roads and we needed to be home before dark as we live in moose and deer country. So I jumped back on the interstate for about 3 miles. The next exit was for Barre,VT and we needed gas too. It was one of those exits that advertises gas but only posts that it's 4 miles after the exit after you take the exit. I hate that. I'm thinking gas right at the exit and now its another road trip to get to the gas station...PITA.

We go the 4 miles, theres at least a SHELL gas station so we pull in. As I'm pumping gas my wife says "Hey look, theres a car show over there". I look over and in the adjacent cow pasture is a car show. Well I'll be darn. Around here a car show can be anything from a couple alice chalmers and john deere tractors to phenomenal. As I'm going to pay for the gas I see this couple walking over so I ask them how much to get in the car show? The guy says its free and so isn't the food. Well I'll be skippy! So we went on over after paying for the gas.

Holy shiet did they have some nice cars, about 68 of them. '65 mustang,66 GTO,'64 Valiant convertible w/ a V8,all kinds of 1930' Fords, my favorite a '50 mercury chopped and channeled, all kinds of rod rats to name but a few.

The free food was quality beef hamburger on those puffy cross buns and hotdogs were good too. They even had a couple large coolers with soda. No charge but donations so I threw in a 20$ for the cause.

It was a wow car show and in the middle of nowhere bum fock Vermont. And we stumbled on it accidently. Go figure dumb luck,eh.

I did take pictures and I am having them put on a disk as we speak and should have these and the Laconia photos on by Monday evening.

'50 mercury is my dream car. Chopped and channeled w/ emeron black w/ orange peel flames if possible.

Remembered I took a better shot of the '64 Valiant convertible...V8 too. Always thought they were slant or straight 6's.
