Well it's been raining here for 5 days and last night the ground couldn't take any more. So now I have water coming up under the back wall of the shop and flowing across the concrete floor and out the front. Sucks because it isn't suppose to let up until late Wednesday. :gah:

Sorry to hear that Hoah, :D We have had an above average rain fall this month as well. Even a Tornado. The weather really sucks to put it mildly. The other day there was a break in the clouds and I looked up and told everyone to look quick before its gone.
I'm sure you guys will probably dry out before we do but hang in there It'll get better, I hope. :)

Yikes! We left Goleta, Ca. in '99, same year as the "500 year flood". I mean, cars were being swept down Hollister Ave. Then we move to eastern N.C. a few months later and we had a "500 year flood" here after hurricane Floyd. So, we saw a thousand years worth of floods in less than a year! People were getting around in row boats. The water came up to within inches of getting in our house, and we live in one of the highest elevations around here. Hope it gets no worse for you than it already is . . .

Good luck, Ken. It looks like you're about to get another big wet, but then a break. Hope you can get through it without too much hassle. I still need to order a V-Ducter!

I can't complain too much, only 20 miles west of us approx 200 homes living below the burn areas from the fires 2 years ago are on mandatory evacuations due to mud flows. If those hillsides let go they will all be displaced for Christmas. When I look at whats going on for those folks I know my situation is nothing.

I managed to reroute most of the flowing water so that it is not against the wall, so now I'm no longer standing in so much water while I work. Just while writing this we have been pounded by some super intense rain and some hail indicating we are in for some rough thunderstorms. We'll have to wait and see what the morning brings.

I remember mudslides from So. Calif. when we lived there. Wiped out whole neighborhoods and washed sections of the coast highway right in the ocean. Very bad memories. Hope you keep safe and dry.

I think except for Texas and Florida that were all going to be glad when summer returns. I'm sure looking forward it!
