Putting in one of those low pro accel nozzles, pumped the old one out, and a square brass needle valve came flying out at warp speed towards the wall. I found it thank god but cant figure out if the pointed end (needle) goes back in facing up towards the new brass nozzle or down in the float bowl. Any help in welcome as I trying to get'er back together today. Thanks!

Here is a pic I found on the web. Trying to still figure out if that square brass check valve needs to go into the float bowl pointed end up or down. thanks

I do think the point goes down , as the fuel will push it up

Thats how I eneded up installing it haha... It only makes sense that way. Just that pointed needle end of the square brass check valve oddly fits perfect into the bottom of the nozzle. However, when I shine a light down the hole where I pulled the nozzle from the float bowl, it had a little bright area at the bottom where the point had been hitting. I guess it's still up in the air so please chime in if you know! Wont find out anytime soon as there is more damn snow here in Iowa. Thanks all.
