Chirping on let off

Hi folks, got a 98 fatboy with 13,000 miles on it. Last night I noticed a chirping sound low on the engine when I let off of the throttle, haven't had time to investigate yet. Could someone please steer me in the right direction? Thanks

It just chirps only once on each throttle release without the clutch pulled in by the way, thanks

Give us an idea where the noise is coming from, front?, Back?, Leftside? ect and may have more to offer, right now I am just going to throw out could just be a dirty belt, or belt needs to be adjusted.

Left side low for sure, sounds like front, belt maybe, will check. Possibly suspension squeak? Don't know, doubt that. This a very pronounced chirp. Rode it to work today, noise started last night.

Tightened belt to spec, torqued axel nut on cold bike, chirping gone. Thanks for the help.

If you let that belt get a bit looser, you can get a pretty good growl out of it when you dump the cluth at 3000 rpm trying to beat a sporty out of the hole. That's experience.

I think that's how it got loose in the first place. My bud's 1200 runs circles around me, but not for my lack of trying! Momentum rules!
