Hey guys, I'm a little indecisive what I want to upgrade to.
My first bike was a Yamaha XVS650, and it was too small for me.
I'm 6'4" and a good 160kgs.. definitely a cruiser build, but I don't want another Yamaharley.. I'll eventually end up on a cruiser again, but I can't afford a Harley at the moment, and that's what I will get. I'm looking for a sports bike in between, but it's hard to find one I'll fit on.. I'm really keen on the TLR1000, since Vtwins are where its at.. I think it's a little small though.. Any suggestions? Everyones tellin me to either get a busa, or a cruiser =\

the yama V twin silvarodo (sp) is a good cruiser & about half the price of a harley & know a person who put about 70k miles on one & no trouble out of it & another guy who just bought a new one just to up grade his old one was about 8-10 years old & over 80k miles & about about your size or bigger to me there acrosss between a roadking & a fatboy & with a set of V&H long shots they sound good :D

Buddy sold his cheap too, nice bike low miles, windshield, bags, pipes nice seat, $4K

Call on the insurance cost for the crotch rocket first... It can cost as much or more than the bike...

Why compromise and get the wrong bike type when you can get a good metric cruiser who cares if it's HD or not...

Another way to go is to check out bike salvage yards or repos from the bank/finance companies. They are only interested in gettin their money back and will often sell for the balance of the loan. ;)

Salvage bikes have a good price on them but be careful and if you can eyeball the bike before buying - I just looked at 08 FLHTCUI for 7K and for what was wrong with it - I would have to dump 3K in it to get it up and running which ain't bad; but you have to take into account the state you will be riding in also. Some of the laws on salvage titles are downright stupid. :puke:

If your in the Midwest area around Indiana check out http://www.ttrepairables.com][/U] - for the east coast New England area try argocycles.com and for the SE Virginna area try www.kimmotor.com[/U]]Salvage Harley Motorcycles Rebuildable Cars Wrecked Corvettes Auto Dealer VA
These are just a few and there are more listings from local sources and websites like ebay which should give ya a wide selection of good used rides to pick from at a price you can afford. :)
Oh! and as a afterthought - don't wait until yer a ole geezer like some of us on here to check out the dream bike - life is to short and if you don't get what you want the first time around ya don't get a second chance. :D

Live life like it's your last moment and ride safe. :)

the suzuki boulevard handles like a garbage truck; slow response in curves and a dog in accel.
Save your pennies and get a HD (used) you'll be money ahead in the long run.
