Clear powder coat

    Thought I'd try something completely different. Tiger Powdercoatings calls it "Silver Stardust Clear", shot it over the bare metal - sander marks & all... Ran the parts through our pretreatment washer at work, then rubbed everything down with a scotchbrite pad and MEK to get the discoloration from the conversion coating off. The sparkles are kind of irridescent in bright sunlight. I call it the Anti-Paintjob.

    Looks real nice, a bud of mine up here built one about 3 yrs ago with a TC engine in a softail frame and a black springer front end,he clear coated the bare metal...named it "Naked"....mirror wrote the name with black marker on the tank...looked sharp IMO...as does yours....nice job.:cool::D

    Thanks for the compliments. It's taking me a while to get used to it, since I liked the Kandy Tangerine so much. I still have the old tins so I can switch back and try something different with powdercoat if I decide I don't like the clear. It does look pretty sharp in person though, so I'll probably keep it.
